DAF units with circular shaped vessel are surely not as compact as the BMSL DAF, but on the other hand  they have a more economic and easy and construction.  

However this line of DAF units can very well apply the solid / liquid separation in industrial applications, where they are often followed by a filtration process.  

For an appropriate and controlled chemical flocculation a pipe reactor is generally sited, prior to the DAF process, fully equipped  with static or Venturi mixers chosen depending on the specific application

The process starts with a brush screen for inorganic removal.
A compensation tank feeds the dissolved air flotation system through an on-line chemical pipeline reactor.  DAF clarified water is further processed through an up-flow filter with coarse to fine material bed. 
The clarified water is in part reused in the manufacturing process and in part discharged within the local law limits.  

Concentrated sludge from the DAF process is also further processed for complete dewatering.

The process starts with an homogenization tank, followed by on-line chemical tank reactor and dissolved air flotation.  

Pumping and conventional sand filtration finish the process with a clarified water within the local law limits for discharge in public sewage.  

All pumps and process control equipment are mounted in a single metal cabinet together with the electrical control panel.  Concentrated sludge is collected in special bags for discharge.
